Leo Babauta of Zen Habits recently wrote an interesting piece called, “The Illusion of Control.” In it he describes how our efforts to control our lives and our surroundings are fundamentally flawed and worthless. The Changing Self

Everything is in a constant state of flux, including our sense of self. We learn to accept ourselves only once we learn to accept the impermanence of ourselves.
